Global Travel Stimulus Policies

Global Travel Stimulus Policies

As American leaders strategize proposals and policies to jumpstart our nation’s economy, the Travel Technology Association urges legislators to prioritize initiatives that aid the recovery of the travel and tourism industry, which in turn will strengthen the American economy and protect millions of American workers. According to the U.S. Travel Association, in 2019, direct spending by domestic and international travelers in the U.S. averaged $3.1 billion a day and 1 out of 10 American jobs rely on travel and tourism.

The global travel industry has formed a coalition — comprised of Travel Tech (North America), eu travel tech, and the Asia Travel Technology Industry Association (ATTIA) — to support industry efforts and to assist lawmakers with creating and implementing smart, safe and effective policies that deliver much needed economic relief and expedite recovery efforts.

This infographic illustrates these different measures by providing specific examples that have been proposed or implemented by leaders around the world.
